Saints Healthcare Foundation’s mission is to assure resources exist to meet the healthcare needs of communities served by two remarkable health care organizations: St. Francis Regional Medical Center and St. Gertrude’s Health & Rehabilitation Center.
The Foundation offers a trusted place where you can make a difference in the lives of family and friends who are sick and suffering by volunteering your time or making a charitable donation.
Ribbon Cutting
Over 300 community members joined the staff and volunteers to celebrate St. Gertrude’s opening of the new rehabilitation addition on Thursday October 13th. Archbishop Emeritus Harry Flynn brought greetings and the Prayer of Blessing; Vice Chairman Glynn A. Crooks shared greetings from the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community and Leonard Wabasha, Director Cultural Resources brought the Tribal Blessing.
The new patient rooms and therapy area will allow St. Gertrude’s to serve an additional 500 – 600 patients a year that currently declined due to lack of space. St. Gertrude’s and the Saints Healthcare Foundation are very appreciative of the community support for this 41,400 square feet addition.
